The book aims to make available to English readers the world over the research studies carried out by French scholars and academics in the subject area. The topics cover the main periods of Sindh's history, literature, architecture, and anthropology. The chapters were originally individual contributions presented at a workshop organized in France, in 2004. The authors seek to provide a wide-ranging and comprehensive survey of Sindh's legacy.
