This book gives a representative selection from the poems of Mubarak Azeemabadi, who speaks with abandon of spiritual love, in the most mundane terms. Mubarak had started out as a disciple of the renowned Dagh, but because his poetical impulse was different, soon developed an individual style. He retained the audacity of expression given currency by Dagh, but since he was inherently a very pious person, that is why his lyrics having an abandon to be envied carried a charm, which has captivated scores of poetry lovers in Urdu.
